Level II Back Ground Check

Level II Back Ground Check

Nursing, medical students, and those who are looking to work in certain industries may be required to completed a Level II background check. A Level II background check is more in-depth than the other types of background checks, as it collects biometric information on an individual and then compares it to a nationwide database.

A Level II background check includes information about a person’s criminal history and motor vehicle records. In checking one’s criminal history, local, state, and federal databases will be searched in addition to checking sex or violent offender databases. In many cases, information about an arrest can be obtained even if one’s criminal record has been sealed or expunged. This background check also requires individuals to have their fingerprints taken and submitted along with the original request for data. These fingerprints are then run against a national database in order to determine if an individual may have previously been arrested under an alias.
